Deloitte’s Best Company to Work For survey is an empirically researched and validated process that enables participating companies a unique opportunity to understand how they are delivering against the needs and expectations of their employees’.

Among other topics, the survey focuses on job satisfaction; leadership; rewards; recognition performance management; values; culture and, innovation.

Central to all successful talent management strategies is a strong Employer Brand, which defines the image of the organisation to its employees and to the external market.

As part of CIB’s Employer Brand, we are committed to building a culture of achievement and teamwork and because we believe we have the right people, they are our greatest asset.

In our efforts to continually develop and recognise our greatest assets, CIB  has entered the Deloitte BCTWF Survey as a means of gauging how we as a company are measuring up to the rest of the progressive companies out there in terms of employee satisfaction and as a preferred company to work for.

By determining how our employees feel, we can address any areas where we fall short, while also enhancing and maintaining the areas where we score well.

It’s a constant effort and one that we take very seriously. We are not afraid to look at ourselves and be criticised constructively in all the areas of our business – but most of all by our people, which reaffims the culture of creating a vibrant work environment and one that is highly sough after as a choice of employment.

CIB's Participation & Ranking

CIB has participated in this survey for five consecutive years, starting in 2006, and our commitment to this initiative and to our employees is evident in our constant effort to measure our performance, while always seeking to improve our achievements.
 
In 2006, CIB scored 53rd place overall and by 2007 we moved up 26 positions to 37th place overall.
In 2008 Deloitte phased out the overall category by segmenting all the entrants into small, medium and large categories. CIB came 18th in the small company category in 2008 and took 2nd place in the industry sector!
In 2009 CIB maintained its 18th position in the small business category and came 4th in the Financial Services / Insurance Industry Category.
In 2010 CIB was placed 9th in the medium sized category and came 3rd in the Financial Services / Insurance Industry Category!
