At CIB we believe we have a responsibility to assist disadvantaged South Africans in our surrounding communities. As part of our commitment, we have developed a corporate social investment (CSI) programme that allows individuals at CIB to personally get involved and to contribute to the well being of others who are less fortunate.
Community involvement takes the form of projects, donations and volunteer work at or for the establishments themselves.
Since the inception of our CSI programme, CIB has supported more than 20 organisations.
Some of the most recent initiatives that CIB has supported include:
- Little Eden
-Viva Day Care Centre
Based in Daveyton, the Viva Day Care Centre is a crèche for underpriviledged children and CIB has been supporting them since 2008. Our most recent donation was given to Viva Day Care Centre in March and they will be using the funds to re-paint their premises.
- CIB supports the fight against crime
As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety of our community's future, CIB has become one of the Bedfordview Community Police Forum’s main sponsors.
Established 13 years ago, the BCPF is an anti-crime initiative run by volunteers who have formed various teams to patrol the community in order to help with the crime fighting capacity in the area.
Earlier this year, CIB sponsored the BCPF with reflective patrollers jackets. To find out more, click here
