Specialised Farming Implements And Vehicles

All vehicles and implements related to farming activities as well as vehicles used for personal purposes can be insured.

Irrigation Systems

Cover which is specifically designed for the agricultural market.
Cover for Irrigation systems are available which includes theft and accidental damage for up to 25% of the sum insured.

Tyre Damage Insurance

This cover is for tractors, combines and agricultural implements. Cover is provided for up to R15 000 per tyre at no charge in respect of damage caused by concealed objects. Additional cover can be purchased at an additional premium.

Spread of Fire Liability

Cover is provided for the spread of fire from your premises to that of your neighbour's premises. Cover can be increased to a maximum of R25 million. To enjoy this cover, the farmer must comply with all government requirements as noted in the "National Veld and Forest Fire Act". Spread of fire to plantations and sugar cane fields, is restricted to R5 million.

Goods in Transit of Livestock

CIB will indemnify the farmer up to the maximum amount stated in the schedule in respect of death of livestock whilst in transit.
