CIB is a short-term insurance administrator, specialising in the SME market. Established in 1994, CIB has been offering short-term solutions to brokers nationwide since 1999. Our product portfolio includes personal lines insurance, bespoke high net worth insurance for individuals and a wide range of commercial insurance, as well as niche products such as engineering, agricultural, estate, franchise and buildings insurance. In addition to this, the CIB offering includes life assurance, health insurance, employee benefits and tailored investment products.

Using a custom policy-management system, accessed via the Internet, CIB can assist brokers in even the most remote regions of the country.

In 2011 Investec acquired a 5% stake in CIB. This initial shareholding is a true vote of confidence in the CIB model and is in line with our future plans to obtain our own short-term insurance license.
